1973 4/4 4 seater Recommissioning project.

This 1973 4/4 1600 cross flow has been in storage for many years and as such requires recommissioning.

We have had the car running but it will require all a full mechanical check-over/overhaul, the paint is fair, the interior is in need of a retrim.

Fitted with the Ford 1600GT cross flow engine mated to a 4 speed all synchro gear box, it has Lucas spot lamps, seat belts in the front, map light and all the wet weather gear is there.

The ash frame seems good overall with some minor play in the driver B pillar. The chassis is solid. The paintwork is showing signs of age but is perfectly serviceable and would polish up with a nice sheen.

This would make a lovely straightforward winter project for somebody, it wouldn’t take much to have it up and running and ready to enjoy some summer motoring in 2025! Fingers crossed for the sun!
